In January we booked to go back to Florida in December 2020 although it did look a little bit unlikely for a while due to Covid-19.
We always shop around and travel with whoever is the cheapest and that has been virginholidays.co.uk for the majority of times we have gone. My husband will spend hours surfing the internet looking for deals. Unfortunately, I’m a teacher so we have to go during the expensive school holidays 😩
We prefer to fly from Manchester although Doncaster is our nearest airport but they don’t have flights to Orlando when we want to travel.
We are members of the free Virgin loyalty program, I strongly suggest that you join if you fly with Virgin, and you can get 7% off your holiday. We tend to book in the January sale and often get the V-Room for free.

If you have never seen or used the Virgin v-room I recommend that you do, especially if you have children. You are able to access the room 3 hours before you fly and enjoy complementary food, hot and soft drinks. You can purchase alcoholic drinks if you fancy toasting your holiday 🥂. There are electronic games, fusball and a soft play for the little ones. The is an adult only section if you are travelling without children and fancy some quiet. An added bonus is that you can check in for your car whilst you are there which saves you time once you get to Orlando. This year however, we are not going into the Virgin v-room as it booked up too quickly so we have been booked into the Escape Lounge Terminal 2. It isn’t as family friendly but our children are older and alcoholic drinks are included. You can see additional photos at manchesterairport.co.uk

In the next blog I will add details about where we are staying in Orlando and why we have chosen them. Also which park tickets we have booked.
Thanks for reading, if you have any questions please ask and we will do our best to answer them. The Allen Family x
